FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MeshMinder.com Brings Hockey Junkies of All Ages
Together
Burlington, Ontario,
Canada - February 9, 2007 - MeshMinder Inc. today announced the
launch of MeshMinder.com, a fully automated, free, on-line matching
agent providing a place for recreational and adult hockey league
players to find sought-after goaltending and referee services with
no registration fees or commissions.
Aspiring (and proven)
goalies, referees and players looking to offer their services can
create a "profile" in MeshMinder.com indicating their playing
preferences such as available playing times, preferred locations,
capability, and required playing fees (set by the player defining
his/her services). Requests made in MeshMinder.com for goalies,
referees are matched with corresponding profiles and email or SMS
text alerts are sent to all potential candidates. The first
candidate to confirm acceptance to the request gets the "job". MeshMinder.com then manages the rest including calendar scheduling,
confirmation to the requestor, email reminders and even driving
directions from the player's home to the appropriate arena. The
process ends with a system-generated email sent to the requestor
after the service was scheduled to take place asking for ratings of
the service provider in categories such as "effort", "punctuality"
and "attitude".
Frank Fortino, President
of MeshMinder Inc. explained, "MeshMinder.com revolutionizes the way
rental services have traditionally operated in two major ways;
firstly, it eliminates the fees traditionally charged by rental
service providers - we allow the goalie or referee to name their
price and they keep it… all of it. Secondly, MeshMinder.com utilizes
very sophisticated mapping and scheduling technology to automate the
entire process of matching people who 'need it' with people who have
'got it' - there is no human intervention!"
Hockey "players" can
also register in MeshMinder.com, however, rather than indicating
their required playing fees in their MeshMinder profile, players
indicate the hourly rate they are willing to pay. "Players typically
pay to play to chip in for the ice time or the league fees",
explained Mr. Fortino, "We wanted to
ensure that players looking to play with recreational league teams
or simply looking to join a game of 'pick-up' weren't neglected".
MeshMinder.com will also
provide additional functionality targeted towards the hockey-lover
including a "My Team" feature allowing users and coaches to manage
their league or shinny team statistics, player contact information,
upload photographs and post game schedules. The "Set up a Game"
feature allows users without a team to post an ice time and allow
interested players to "sign up" to play. MeshMinder.com will
accommodate people "on-the-go" by making all requests and
confirmations accessible on any commercially available mobile
device. Planned features include player and team blogs, posting of
free ice time by arena and a virtual marketplace for hockey-related
merchandise.
Our goal is to expand
the breadth of services available on MeshMinder.com to become the
place to go for 'everything hockey'. Planned future services will
include personal hockey trainers, hockey schools and even
professional goalie mask artists!", explained Mr. Fortino, "Perhaps
the most exciting thing about MeshMinder.com is that it has no
boundaries or jurisdictions, it is the epitome of focused, online,
social networking meant to bring together people from all over the
world that love the game of hockey and it provides that 'virtual
playground' for the 30, 40, 50 and 60-something demographic that
still love to play the game but find it difficult to find people to
play with."
